I am listed as a Rule 31 General Civil and Family Mediator. I practice in the areas of domestic law and employment law. I have conducted over 500 family meditations - pre-divorce and post divorce. The majority of these cases have settled. I have conducted employment mediations for the EEOC, Post Office Redress Program and Nashville Electric Services and other private entities. These cases involved issues of racial discrimination, gender discrimination and wrongful terminations. I have conducted over 200 employment disputes with an eighty percent settlement rate. I write personnel manuals, revise them, and write job descriptions. Currently, I am a recruiter with Tennessee State Employee Association. I not only recruit, but discuss issues pertaining to complaints - crafting answers to employment complaints; retirement - planning retirements; insurances - needs for additional insurance, and anything that state employees might have concerns about. I take those concerns back to the leadership. I have been an Assistant Director for EEO/Affirmative Action at Tennessee State University, where I created and taught seminars on diversity and discrimination. I investigated allegations of discrimination. Crafted answers for EEOC complaints. Compiled information that insured that the University was in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. I am a former social worker for the State of Tennessee in the Foster Care area. It was my responsibility to try to reunite families. When this was not possible, it became my task to terminate parental rights and place children for adoption. I worked for the Tennessee Municipal League as an administrative assistant. I wrote articles for its newspaper - "Tennessee Town and City." I have served on the board of for Tennessee Professional Mediators Association (TAPM) and The Neighborhood Justice Center. Currently, I am on the Board for the Rochelle Center and is the Editor for TAPM's Newsletter.

Mediation Education & Training:
I was listed as a Rule 31 mediator by the Supreme Court for the State of Tennessee in 1997 as a General Civil and Family Mediator. I take continuing education courses in family law and general mediation every year. I have over 250 additional hours beyond basis training in domestic law and employment law. I am certificated as mediator in domestic violence. I have approximately 30 hours in domestic violence mediation training.
